Kaabah:
a lighthouse that guides you home;
or an anchor that keeps the afloat;
or hope that breathes life into a lost heart.
For me, it is all of those and more. That's the only way I can describe my love for this land and this place.

Every time I listen to Sami Yusuf: The 99 Names, the nostalgia tugs a little at my heart. Parting with this blessed land is never easy. It doesn't get easy. Not with time, nor with practice. But perhaps this sadness is a longing. A sign from Allah- reminding us that we don't belong here. That this world isn't our Home.
